This facility allows form template creators to create and edit custom security roles specific for the form template. For example, a job application form template might require two custom form roles, Applicants and Approvers. Once these roles are created, form template creators will need to map these custom roles to the portal roles so that the system knows what type of security access to grant to users.

How to create custom form user security roles
- In the Form Template User Role screen, provide the name of the role and an optional description of the role
- Click on the Update link button to apply the changes
How to edit custom form user security roles
- In the Form Template User Role screen, a list of available roles is displayed. Click on the Edit link button of the role you wish to modify.
- Make the appropriate amendments to the role name or description.
- Click on the Update link button to apply the changes.
Once custom form user security roles are created, these custom roles can be mapped to the real portal security roles. Below is an example of the custom form roles and available portal roles on a Job application form template.

How to map a portal role to custom form user roles
- Form Template roles are mapped by selecting from the list of available system portal roles you wish to grant security access to. This list of security roles is taken from the list of available custom form roles created with the Form Termplate User Roles editor.
- Select one or more of the available custom form user roles.
- Click on the Update link button to apply the changes.
